New Building for the Honduras Conference Camp
Honduras Conference has a wonderful camp setting outside its headquarters in La Ceiba. It has been a blessing for our conference churches, for ministry to children in the area, and for non-UB churches that have been able to use these grounds for ministry. Honduras Conference has begun construction on a building that can hold larger groups for services and meetings. This is an exciting venture in a conference that continues to grow by planting more and more churches. However, it is a major faith stretch for them. They would be blessed by North American churches and individuals who can assist them financially in this project, or who may want to send a group to assist in construction.

Leadership Development
A primary concern of Global Ministries is assisting partnering countries with developing leaders for their churches and conference ministry. Honduras Conference has been rapidly expanding in recent years through consistent church planting efforts.
Just a few years ago, the Copan region of Honduras lacked any UB church presence, whereas today there are 13 churches and five new church plants. Along with that are young people responding to the call of ministry to their life. And these folks need trained! Honduras Conference is preparing a theological institute to train these 21 individuals using visiting teachers. This will be a three-year training process. The first year is completed. The cost is $3000 per year. This would be a worthy pursuit to invest in. As you can see, $143 will pay for a Copan pastor to participate in the institute.
$600 has been given to date for 2007
Honduras Conference has partnered with a group that provides continuing education for Hispanic pastors in Honduras called the Evangelical Ministries of the Americas. They are a group that has provided excellent ongoing training for our pastors in such areas as preaching, biblical studies, counseling, church administration, etc. In our partnership with Honduras, we would like to see 20 scholarships in the year 2007 for pastors at $100 apiece. This would be an invaluable investment in a Central American pastor. Perhaps you could scholarship an individual. The total need is $2000.
