Denominational Short-Term
Mission Trips for 2009

Details for dates and costs for some of these trips are still being finalized, but we wanted you to be aware of opportunities coming your way. Further information will be coming soon. Questions? Contact Global Ministries.

January 2009: Jamaica -Parsonage Roof Replacement

Rev. Winston Smith of the Jamaica Conference requests assistance in replacing the roof of the superintendent's parsonage. A local contractor provided an estimate of $6600 to replace the trusses, ceilings and corrugated steel. However, we believe a work team would be able to take on the task. Plans are to do the work during the month of January and we are looking for a team leader to coordinate the project. Donations would also be welcomed.

Summer 2009: China Teacher Training Trip

We will be sending several individuals for our third trip into southern China to a city of over a million people to work with Chinese teachers of English in their school system. We are able to offer them valuable training, and develop significant relationships at the same time.

This is particularly a great opportunity of cross-cultural ministry for teachers with a language arts specialty, or ESL specialists. There will be an application process and more information is available through the team leader, Luke Fetters, professor at Huntington University. His email address is: lfetters@huntington.eduFeel free to contact the Global Ministries office, as well.
