Decrease in Administrative Charges
Global Ministries has lowered the administrative fees for ministry and building projects from 10% to 7%. While charging the fees was at times sporadic and inconsistent, the fees will now be applied to all projects. The 7% fee covers promotional, postage, accounting, and administrative expenses. It also covers Western Union fees that range from 3-13%.
Global Ministries Homecoming 2009
An exciting event is being planned for all our "current" full support and endorsed missionaries in conjunction with the National Conference in June 2009.
Relief for Myanmar & China
When disaster strikes somewhere in the world, our typical practice is to plug into organizations that specialize in relief work, rather than try to organize something as a denomination. People in your church may be interested in helping the people of Myanmar devastated by the recent cyclone and the people of China who have suffered from the earthquake.
Global Ministries is developing a strategic relationship with Samaritan's Purse, a Christian relief organization. Jeff Bleijerveld has worked with them in Darfur and Ethiopia when he was with World Partners, and has found that they are excellent. See the link on the left sidebar for how Global Ministries can forward your contributions. The Samaritan's Purse homepage has much information about their relief work in both Myanmar and China.

UB's Working Together to Impact an Unreached People
Reid Mayta is the pastor of the United Brethren Church in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In recent years, Pastor Mayta and his church, networking with others, have been reaching out to the Tawahka Indians in Honduras. Marlene, Reid's sister-in-law, was recently asked by the Tawahkas in Yapuwas, on the Patuca River, in the Mosquitia, to go visit the "Old Man", over a hundred year old, to make sure of his spiritual well-being since he could die soon. Marlene immediately traveled in. They picked her up in their dugout canoes. The only way to the village is by river, a 7 hour journey from the nearest landing strip. Marlene is being used to bring this Unreached People Group to the Lord. Pastor Reid and others are hoping Kevin Sprinkle and friends from the Morning Star Church in Kokomo, IN will be able to drill some wells for clean water this coming year. They will try to get the equipment in with the help of the military in Honduras. God is changing the Tawahkas. Our UB brothers and sisters appreciate the Lord allowing them to participate in His work among this unreached group.

Randy and Toni Fennig heading to Sierra Leone
We’re excited that Randy and Toni Fennig will be joining the Simbo’s in strategic partnership with our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone. Their pledged monthly support is currently about 50% funded, and they are trusting for additional partners in the ministry. Read their testimony and ways you can partner with them in West Africa.
Churches with Shared Interests
Three UB churches are passionate about helping UB churches in specific countries--Mexico, Nicaragua, and Honduras--and are looking for other churches that share their interest. A single church can make a big difference. Several churches focused in the same direction can make a huge difference.
