Seminar Leaders

Jeff Bleijerveld has been a pastor, missionary, missions executive and currently serves as the Director of Global Ministries. He has led and received numerous short-term teams and has been a CultureLink instructor since 2004.

Donna Hollopeter has led numerous short-term teams—to Honduras, Poland, Brazil, Haiti, and elsewhere. She is the Associate Director of Global Ministries, where she has been on staff since 1994.

Mission Team Leadership Training

As part of our commitment to resource churches for effective ministry at home and abroad, Global Ministries is providing a two-day seminar to train leaders for short-term mission teams. You can choose from four locations in 2008:

August 22-23	Salem UB Church Chambersburg, Pa.
September 12-13	Emmanuel Community Church Fort Wayne, Ind.
October 3-4	Crossroads UB Church Charlotte, Mich.
November 14-15	Lancaster UB Church Lancaster, Ohio

For United Brethren churches to send the number of volunteers willing and ready to go, we need more trained team leaders. If you have ever led a team, you know how complex a responsibility it truly is--much more than just preparing for the task. The CultureLink™ materials provide the tools and insights necessary to prepare travelers' hands, heads, and hearts before they go.

Ministers: This training qualifies as a CEU. National Conference ministers are required to earn four CEUs per year.

The cost is $60. Because of the interactive nature of the instruction, we are limiting the number of participants to 54 persons at each location. Registration is due two weeks before the event you will attend.
