Global Ministries can help you promote missions in a number of ways.
CultureLink and People Raising
Our director, Jeff Bleijerveld, is a certified CultureLink trainer and People Raising coach. CultureLink provides the training needed for short-term team leaders to effectively plan, prepare and lead volunteer teams. People Raising provides the training and tools necessary to raise funds for ministry in a relational manner, whether for short-term or long-term assignment.
Sunday School Resources
Following are four excellent resources that could be used as a Sunday School Elective course about missions.
Operation WorldView. Perspectives is an extensive mission training opportunity for pastor's and lay people (see www.perspectives.org). However curriculum has become available to replicate some of that experience in a shorter time and in a small group format, such as Sunday School. Go to the following website for details: http://www.mission1.org/opwv.html
Impact Eternity. This is put together by the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptists. It is a 5 week study to help people capture God's heart and purpose.
God's Heart for the Nations. by Jeff Lewis - A Bible Study in eight lessons that rips apart the old, traditional understandings of God's plan and purpose for our lives. The author combines powerful Bible passages with challenging and provocative questions. Each lesson is followed by a time of meditation and a focus on an unreached people group. Published in 2002 by Caleb Project, 10 West Dry Creek Circle, Littleton, CO 80120

Make Him Famous. This five-minute video or DVD set to the song by Julian Drive, “Famous”, encourages congregations to develop their own unique way of “making Christ famous” across the earth. India. Our friend in India's presentation about her work at the recent Day of Missions.
Words for the World. Produced in 2006 by Wycliffe - JAARS. It introduces you to the work of Neal and Carol Brinneman (UB Endorsed Missionaries) who use their computer technical skills and writing skills to further the work of Bible Translation and the sharing of missionary stories.
The Philippines and the United Brethren Church Rev. Mike Brown and Huntington University worked together to produce an introduction to the work and ministry of the United Brethren church in the Philippines. This DVD is available from the Global Ministries Lending Library.

Updated Maps!
Copies of the above UB world missions map (updated September 2006) are available for free. They measure 11-by-17 inches, and work great as placemats for potlucks and banquets. And while you're at it, replace the outdated map on your church bulletin board. Order from Global Ministries. We have plenty! To view a larger version of the map, click here. Send an email with your request for copies of the map and where to send them, or call toll-free: 1-888-622-3019.
PowerPoint Slides
Global Ministries has prepared PowerPoint slides for nearly all of our missionaries and national leaders, as well as other slides related to UB missions. Many UB churches use an "announcement loop" prior to services: they show slides with information and announcements about church events, similar to the slides typically shown in theaters before the movie. These slides can be added to the mix to help people get acquainted with our missionaries and our international work in general. You can download them from the website.
