VBS Project 2009 report
The following report from Laurel Mission shows how your Vacation Bible School offerings have helped the children at Living Waters Christian School in Big Laurel, Kentucky.
September 2009
The summer break is now over. We have had a wonderful summer with VBS here on campus and some make-up school work and testing for students. Some maintenance projects have been done as well. We are still in the process of completing a different set of swings that we feel will be safer. We have had some gifted volunteers to help with loose door knobs, leaky sink drains, light fixtures repaired, pulling up old carpet, etc. What a blessing for us!
On August 5, we began our 26th year with 17 students. We pray for strength and renewal for the teachers; focus and effort for the students. We know that without Him, our labor is in vain.
We wondered how we would pay our bills this summer with the poor economy. We had even taken some from the general fund and put into our scholarship fund because of a few students who hadn't been able to pay their bill. However, up to this date, the Lord has provided as each need arose. His provisions prove His faithfulness and we believe He wants us to continue teaching and ministering to the needs here in the mountains of Kentucky; thank you for serving with us.
Sincerely,
Connie R. Boggs
