Building the Wall in Uncertain Times

Gary Dilley
December 2003

In uncertain times, Global Ministries continues business as usual with our desire to keep extending God's kingdom work through our missionaries, through our partnering countries, and through serving you in your vision to make a difference in God's world.

To paraphrase God's servant, Nehemiah, we sense we are involved in important work. We don't want to get distracted from our mission, and we will "keep on building the wall."

A year and a half ago, we began taking various steps necessary in order for Global Ministries to better serve you in the future. Thanks for your patience and willingness to walk with us in this endeavor. We needed to make many changes, but are now seeing some of the fruits of our labor.

Additional people are considering missionary service (some short-term and some long-term)

Several churches have undergone training to think more critically and purposefully about their local church mission efforts.

Total giving toward United Brethren mission efforts has increased in the past year. We have especially seen an increase in support for missionaries and in giving to specific projects.

Thanks for being a blessing to so many parts of the world!
