Ways Global Ministries Can Help
Your Church

November 2003

Global Ministries can help your church in various ways when it comes to missions. we would be glad to meet with you personally, or talk with you by phone, about such issues as these:

  • How can we make our congregation more aware of the changes taking place in the world, and how God is working?
  • How do we become more strategic and make a difference through our mission efforts?
  • How do we prepare our work team?
  • "I'm thinking God may be calling me into cross-cultural ministry, what's my next step?"
  • How can our church partner with UB people in another part of the world?

Many UB churches want their missions efforts to become more strategic and purposeful. To help accomplish that goal, Global Ministries offers a new workshop called "Designing Your Impact." The workshop, led by a Global Ministries staffperson, helps churches select and implement a strategic missions focus which is based on the unique vision and resources God has given them. This workshop assumes, though, some past mission involvement and local church structure.

Many of our churches would benefit from a first step called "Global Access Planner." We have already met with several UB churches to help them plan out the foundational steps for an effective local church mission thrust. Before leaving the planning session, the group sets the priority steps they need to take during the next year. Details on each are available from the Global Ministries office.

In addition to Gary Dilley and Donna Hollopeter in the office, Randy Fennig is serving with Global Ministries in this area. Randy is pastor of Prince of Peace UB in Springfield, Ohio. He served ten years as a missionary to Mozambique with African Inland Mission, and is currently working on his Doctor of Ministry in Cross-Cultural Ministries. He would be delighted to be of service. Contact him by email or call 937-325-4346.
